Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking to hire an Automation Engineer to improve system and equipment reliability for the core processes to meet all customer, business and regulatory requirements through the following activities:
- Develop plans to maintain, conduct life cycle replacement, and improve the performance of process automation systems.
- Develop capital investment plans, develop investment applications.
- Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules.
- Project manager responsibilities for process automation projects.
- Develop and manage expense budgets for maintenance and improvements for process automation systems.
- Support capital investment projects and process improvement plans.
- Develop and maintain automation specifications and maintenance plans.
- Coach and train Process Engineers and Engineering and S&EP Technicians.
- Support technical development of SEP Techs.
- Employ advanced cLEAN® tools within the main areas of problem solving, project and change management.
- Develop and manage expense budgets for maintenance and improvements for process automation systems.
- Support event response activities.
- Supports implementation of one DFP better practices and participates in sharing knowledge across all sites for improvement projects.
- Will support the following:
- Fill Units
- Inspect Units
- Assemble Units
- Package Units
- Control Systems
- Utilities
- BS in Engineering/related field or Equivalent (experience + education).
- 5-8+ years engineering experience in process based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems.
- Knowledgeable in the following: SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL.
- Proven expertise, (e.g. project management) in planning/organization and project execution, follow-up, and completion.
- Builds strong working relationships, Creates direction through vision, inspiration, and example.
- Actively participates in process/team activities, supports ideas/actions of others, uses appreciative feedback style to coach others in how to “Make their idea even better”.
- Quickly flexes to changing roles and responsibilities and adapts to changing environments and business needs with grace and ease.
- Able to translate high level direction into actionable tasks that deliver results using cLean / Six Sigma methodologies.
- Understands who the customer is, their requirements and the processes that meet the customer's requirements. Is relentless in improving results, demonstrates a sense of urgency in supplying the customer and delivering good results.
- Demonstrates a disciplined approach to making decisions that is based on data and facts and is consistent with Vision/Business Goals and Values.
- Ability to work hours necessary to support production and /or maintenance activities.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Must possess a strong people focus, equipment focus and be the standards “gatekeeper”.
