Client Synopsis: Full Scale is currently recruiting for the following (HOME BASED) WEST COAST position. Preference is to have this candidate reside in San Diego, San Francisco or Los Angeles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Our Client is a global leader in metabolism through biomarker discovery and analysis. This dynamic organization is growing their Sales force and has experienced record sales volumes. We are actively seeking a Science Development Director to help support the sales efforts within the academic and government spaces. The Science Development Director will be responsible for supporting pre- and post- sales activities within a defined geography to grow the metabolomics services business. This position will have significant impact on the market growth in these sectors.
This position will cover the west coast and surrounding territories. Candidates are required to be in close proximity to an airport. This position reports to the Senior Director of Science Development.
Duties include:
- Work with minimum supervision to educate, support and develop existing and potential customers through a combination of sales and marketing efforts such as seminars, WebEx, in-person client meetings and trade shows.
- Identify client needs, expectations and manage deal terms through the contractual process.
- Will be expected to prioritize and manage resources to maximize benefit and work closely with Marketing and R&D to drive publications with the academic and government markets.

Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement is a Science Degree. Preference will be given to applicants with a Masters or PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology or related science.
- Previous experience in sales (2-5 yrs) relating to, life science services, platform services or experience in the “omics” space preferred.
- Background within the drug development industry would be well regarded.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic, clear thinker, strong sense of urgency.
- Assertive with a positive outlook, energy and performance-oriented attitude.
- Team player, builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
