Client Synopsis:

Full Scale Solutions is currently recruiting several candidates to fill positions that are based in Raleigh/Durham, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are hiring an experienced Manager to run a small team of Software Engineers for our Client. The team develops software that helps their growing base of Affiliates deliver cutting edge broadband products to end-users throughout the United States.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of Software Engineers and ensure goals are met and output is consistent with expectations, both internally and externally.
  • Work closely with the Director of Product Management and Director of Software Architecture to clearly define deliverables and set realistic timelines.
  • Ensure each project is scoped and documented accordingly and that requirements and deliverables are clearly understood by the Software Engineering Team.
  • Gather requirements from both internal teams and customers for any new or ongoing software projects and disseminate to the Software Engineering Team.
  • Provide frequent progress reporting and transparency to ensure ongoing success of the team.
  • Establish and apply clear guidelines and procedures.
  • Design, measure, communicate and monitor performance expectations and metrics for the Software Engineering Team.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to ensure software deployment, documentation, and maintenance procedures are followed and enforced.
  • Manage overall quality; clearly define and guide testing procedures and Quality Assurance.
  • Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, provide salary recommendations, monitor and assign work, coach, mentor, develop and motivate employees; foster a team.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience managing a software team. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of commonly-used software development concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Prior software development experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PHP, MySQL and front-end/UI tools and design is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach and sensitivity towards consistently improving service for the business.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop high performance team managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Superior written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Decision making and problem solving based on goal and results orientation.
  • Proven leadership skills and a positive, can-do demeanor with willingness to “dig in” and participate in getting the work done.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with peers, Directors, and Executives within the company to set clear expectations and realistic goals.
  • Process driven with proven ability to plan and execute multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Occasionally travel may be required.
